Business-critical trends, strategies discussed at AUSPACK 2022 Leaders Forum

Understanding trends driving the industry, gaining insights into their impact, and learning strategies to strengthen businesses now and into the future, will be key takeaways from sessions at the new AUSPACK Leaders Forum.

Karolina Rodriguez, Marketing Manager for Exhibitions and Trade Fairs, said, “There are many factors impacting packaging and processing businesses at this point, and we are delighted to launch the AUSPACK 2022 Leaders Forum as a way for business owners to benchmark their progress as an organisation of the future. The forum will also enable attendees to learn, gain some inspiration and – importantly being a face-to-face event – network with like-minded, forward-thinking leaders.”

The AUSPACK Business Leaders Forum will take place on 18-19 May, the middle two days of AUSPACK 2022, which will run from 17-20 May.

“With Australia at a critical recovery stage after the COVID-19 pandemic, industry is seeing many factors driving unprecedented organisational transformation in packaging and processing businesses. These include supply chain disruption, sustainability demands and technology and automation leaps, then at the consumer end we’re seeing fast-paced changes in buying habits and views on environmental impact. All of this is then combined with changes in regulation and governance.”

Mrs Rodriguez said reflecting these impacts, the themes chosen throughout the two-day forum are:

  • Future Technology
  • Sustainability & The Circular Economy
  • Investment & Collaboration
  • Future Supply Chain
  • Adapting & Diversifying for Commercial Success
  • Future Workforce

  • Day 1: Rose Herceg, Chief Strategy Officer, WPP AUNZ, will present “Business Trends Report: The 10 trends your business needs to know for 2022 and beyond”
  • Day 2: Brooke Donnelly, CEO at the Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation, and Jean Baillard, GM, TerraCycle, who will both be part of a panel discussion on “Future packaging, recycling & the circular economy”

“Other speakers include Melissa Crawford, GM Future Workforce with Vector NZ, who will give a keynote presentation on ensuring the right workforce for the future; Diem Fuggersberger, Founder & CEO of Berger Ingredients; Christian Ruberg, Future Digital Manufacturing Lead at CSIRO; and Brendan Stayte, Solutions Consultant with Australia Post. We’ll be announcing more speakers in the coming weeks.

“To enhance visitors’ experiences, and maximise learning opportunities, we have created a highly filterable search function in the AUSPACK Leaders Forum website pages. For instance, attendees can search on speaker or category and then ‘favourite’ that session, emailing details to themselves enabling them to build a self-tailored program. Visitors can also choose to attend both days, one day or select individual sessions of the most interest.”

Mrs Rodriguez said the forum will be co-located onsite at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Registrations will be opening soon.
