AUSPACK 2019 Starts processing and packaging event: Tuesday 26 to Friday 29 March

AUSPACK 2019, the southern hemisphere’s leading packaging & processing event, opens tomorrow.

The ribbon will be officially cut at 8:30am by Mark Dingley, Chairman of the Australian Packaging and Processing Machinery Association (APPMA), which owns AUSPACK. This is a fantastic photo opportunity for all on the Concourse at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre before the largest-ever AUSPACK gets underway. Doors to the exhibition will open at 9am.

Also tomorrow, the inaugural AUSPACK 2019 Business and Industry Conference begins with networking tea and coffee between 8:30-9am. The two-day conference will be officially opened at 9am by The Hon. Lily D’Ambrosio MP, Minister for Energy, Environment and Climate Change.

Tomorrow evening, from 5-7pm, AUSPACK is putting on networking drinks on the show floor in the Izakaya Lounge, brought to you by SMC. This is the ideal occasion to catch up with industry colleagues and peers to network. Bookings not needed, drinks complementary.

On Wednesday night, the Gala Awards Ceremony for the APPMA Awards of Excellence will be held to announce the winners and APPMA Annual Scholarship recipient. Drinks and canapés will be served between 6-6:30pm.

Friday morning, 7-9am, sees the NextGen Breakfast Forum, with highly practical advice on attracting and retaining the next generation into the workforce. By 2025, Gen Z will comprise more than 25% of the Australian workforce, and it is essential manufacturers have the right workforce skills in place.

AUSPACK registration opens from 8.15am each day. Doors to the exhibition open from:

  • 9am-5pm, Tuesday to Thursday
  • 9am-3pm Friday
