SMI gets small and high-techPosted on March 14th, 2019 in News
Italian packaging equipment manufacturer SMI is bringing its new “ultra-compact” Ecobloc K Ergon combi system to AUSPACK 2019.
The Ecobloc K Ergon is an integrated stretch-blow moulding, filling and capping combi system with output of up to 8,800 bottles per hour.
Billed as the most compact combi in the world, SMI claims that this solution is suitable even for those who do not have large plants and that it offers many advantages, including easy management and control of the production cycle, high-technology automation and control system, environment-care, TCO reduction, and a good quality-to-price ratio.
According to SMI, the company has also developed a preferential heating kit to make its stretch-blow moulding machines suitable to the detergents, cleaners and pharmaceutical products industry, thus making the Ecobloc K Ergon combi an extremely flexible and versatile solution.
The machine’s automation system is also compatible with Industry 4.0 and Internet of Things architectures, and the system was chosen in March 2018 to represent Italy in the “Innovation” category of the European Business Awards.
