Michael Edmonds is Regional Director, Northern and Western Metropolitan Region, in the Victorian Government Department of Jobs Precincts and Regions (DJPR). He is a leadership team member in the Business Investment and Engagement branch which is responsible for identifying investment opportunities to grow capital investment and employment in the state of Victoria.

Michael joined DJPR in 2021 after a career in the private sector in senior executive positions.

For much of his career Michael has worked in the food and beverage sector where he developed a track record in creating business growth.

Prior to joining DJPR Michael was General Manager Marketing for Asahi Beverages, leading a team across Australia and New Zealand to build local and international beverage brands. Prior to this he was Chief Marketing Officer and head of global business development at Meat and Livestock Australia. He has worked for a number of other notable global businesses including Simplot, CUB Mars Incorporated, Dulux and AstraZeneca.

Michael has a Bachelor of Economics and Master of Marketing from Monash University.
